Ina Sue Nixon, a long-time resident of Bishop, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019, after a long illness.
Born May 6, 1933, in Russellville, AR., Sue graduated from Mayflower, AR. and soon moved to Bishop after marrying her husband of 63 years, H. Nixon.
Sue loved family and friends. She worked at the American Legion for many years and was an officer of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. She was also an accomplished seamstress.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, William T. Wright and mother, Zelma Wright; her husband, H. Nixon; daughter, Debbie Nixon and son, Randy Nixon; brother, Ernest Wright; sister, Betty McCollum; and sister, Helen Mower. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Janet Lee and husband Bobby of Canyon Lake, TX; Suzanne Nester and husband, Chris of League City, TX. and Mary Cummings and husband, Bud of La Porte, Tx.; 8 grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great-Grandchildren; brother, Bill Wright and wife Martha of Conway, AR.; brother, Euel Wright of Maryland; brother, Jerry Wright and wife Karla of Atlanta, GA; sister Linda May and husband Marion of Conway, AR; sister Clara Brickler and husband David of Maumelle, AR.; sister Bobbie Palmer and husband Vernon of Conway,AR.; sister Willene Mooningham and husband Tommy of Allen, TX. and sister Judy Anderson of Villa Park, CA.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 11:00 AM at Bishop Restland Memorial Park Cemetery. Keith Bellamy, formerly of Bishop, will be officiating the service. There will be a celebration of Sue’s life at a family member’s home following the service.
