After a short illness, Ramon V. Trevino, Jr, left this life (on October 3, 2018) with a strong faith in his heavenly Father and his redeemer, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Monika H. Trevino, his sons, Ramon, III (Terry O’Donnell) and Theodore (Elizabeth, “Lisa” Trevino), two grandchildren, Kathrin McKennon (Jordan) and Derek “Buddy” Trevino (Tennyson), great-grandson Hudson McKennon and step-Grandsons, Colin and Evan O’Donnell. His is also survived by his sister in law Jovita Trevino (who helped care for him for almost seven years), sister in law Frances Trevino and dozens of loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ramon, Sr. and Faustina Trevino and 13 siblings (Carolina Perez, Virginia Garcia, Martina Garcia, Reynaldo “Red” Trevino, David Trevino, Pedro Trevino, Inocencia “Chencha” Juarez, Alberto “Lolo” Trevino, Gilberto Trevino, Elena Garcia and three siblings who died as children, Consuelo Trevino, Ramoncito Trevino and Elida Trevino). Despite a debilitating car accident in his early adulthood, Ramon lived a long, full and rich life thanks to the unwavering support and care of his loving and loyal wife, Monika. As the infirmities of age added to his pre-existing disabilities, his wife’s care, that of his immediate family and additional caregivers (Noelia Villareal, Jessica Pierce, Maria Cortez, Supie Garcia and Jessica Molina Rodriguez) allowed him to live at home all of his life.
Ramon was born on the King Ranch, a fourth generation Kineno. While serving his country in Germany, he met and married his wife. Ramon died in his home surrounded by his loving family.
