Francisco “Poncho” Alfonso Perez born May 1, 1938 of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019. He was a retired Civil Service Postal worker of 20 years. Poncho an avid golfer, enjoyed his morning coffee at his local Whataburger and McDonalds, playing bingo with his friends at the senior center, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother Maria De Los Angeles Ruiz, father Alejandro Perez, brothers, Gilbert Perez, Hector Perez, Alijandro Perez, Ernesto Perez, and sisters, Dalia Rios, and Consuelo Perez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Esther Perez, son, Gilbert (Velma) Perez, brothers, Tivo (Nifa) Perez, Oscar (Dianira) Perez, sisters, Martha Trevino, and Rosa (Robert) Garcia; four granddaughters and twelve great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Turcotte Piper Mortuary. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 5p.m. to 9p.m. with a rosary recited at 7p.m. that evening. Final viewing at Turcotte Piper Mortuary on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 9 a.m. a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery. Bereavement to follow at Parish Hall.
