    Pernell,
When I heard the news of your passing, I couldn't help but think of the last line in the movie, "Stand by Me"...."I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?" Although I didn't meet you until high school, your friendship was exactly like that for me. You were one of my "best buds" then and even now over 37 years later, I look back on those times with lasting fondness and nostalgia. Even though I know I can't return to those carefree days, memories of youthful friendships such as yours give me the strength to face life as it happens...day by day. "Pern", I miss you my friend.

Pernell, you are going to be missed. You helped out Mama and Daddy whenever they needed you. Our divorce did not end our friendship. There is so much to say, but don't know where to begin. You will always have a special place in my heart.

We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of Peek. He was a fine husband, brother and father. We will miss his great spirit, positive attitude and kind heart. Peek was a wonderfully loyal son to his Mom Bun and Dad Bill. They loved him so much.

He always made time for his family, no matter how busy his life was. Through the recent loss of his grandmother Amelia, Uncle Ruben and Aunt Stella, he never failed to offer his support, which meant so much to us. We will never forget his generous nature and kindness. We love you Peek always.

"T.Q." touched our lives in so many ways over the years. As we mourn him, he left knowing the warmth & kindness that surrounded him. We can only imagine he entered the Gates of Heaven ( with his collar up no doubt) so the Angels could easily find him. Forever be in Peace.
