Rosa Enna Hickey, age 75, passed away on March 4, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on July 22, 1943 in Agua Nueva, Texas to Aurelio and Elia Hinojosa Gonzales. Rosa was a current member and past President with the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church. She was the current President of the Alice Area Council of Catholic Women and current Vice President of Corpus Christi Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. She was driven to serve the Catholic church and was devoted to her patients and friends. She was an office manager for 47 years for A.V. Ramirez D.D.S. She was an excellent cook, loved to shop and had a contagious smile. Rosa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Joseph A. Hickey, two sisters, Olga (Ray) Rivas, Norma Bird, one brother, Aurelio (Norma) Gonzales Jr., two children, Leticia Lack and Lauro Rene Ochoa Sr., grandchildren, Jennifer Goericke, Pamela Ochoa, Kathryn Ochoa, Larry Ochoa Jr., Richard Ochoa, Eric Ochoa, Michael Ochoa, and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6p.m.- 9p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7p.m. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
