Guadalupe Trevino Adame went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the age of 95. Guadalupe was born on October 26, 1921 in Falfurrias, Texas. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 66 years, Alvaro Amaya Adame, her daughter, Amparo Dalila Saucedo, her parents, Bruno and Nicasia Trevino, her siblings, John Trevino, Raul Trevino, Fred Trevino, Emma Cruz and Esperanza Longoria. Guadalupe lived a long joyous life. She was a woman who loved God with all her heart and loved, served and instructed her family with excellence. She modeled the Proverbs 31 woman in every way. She was a true example of a believer and follower of Christ, an excellent wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother known as “Mamo” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. She fulfilled her dream of being a homemaker and being there for “her girls.” She was a long-time member of the former First Assembly of God Church in Kingsville under the pastorship of Rev. James and Delores Fields and now King’s Way Family Church under the pastorship of Rev. Edwin and Donna Cann. It was there that she developed a passion for evangelism and intercession.
She is survived by four daughters, Gloria Susana “Susie” (Humberto) Ortegon of Kingsville, Dalia (Le Roy) De Segura of Pasadena, Texas, Irma (Baldemar) Perez of Angleton, Texas and Alva (Roy) Lozano of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters, Anita Lopez of Corpus Christi, Consuelo Cabrera and Aida Trevino, both of Falfurrias; one brother, Roberto (Hermidia) Trevino of Kingsville; 17 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel and visitation from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at King’s Way Family Church, 1727 Senator Carlos Truan Blvd., Kingsville, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at King’s Way Family Church with Rev. Edwin Cann and Rev. James Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the physicians and assistants who were used by God in her care along with the caregivers and nurse supervisors at T.V.N.S., the nurses and professionals at Angel Bright Home Health and Hospice, the staff of Maximum Mobility Medical Supply for their help, the numerous E.R. doctors, hospitalists, nurses and technicians that assisted Guadalupe during the latter part of her life, the staff and personnel at Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg and Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline. Your caring hearts will never be forgotten.
To her loyal caregivers, Lupita Portales, Guadalupe Andrade, Laura Ramos, Maria Elena Martinez, Maria Garcia, Enedelia Cuevas and Connie Q. Adams…thank you for your love, friendship and care of our mother. You were her angels here on earth and you will not be forgotten by the family. May God richly bless you for all you did on her behalf.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.

Mamo will forever remain in my heart and will never be forgotten. What a great example she was to all of us... her love for God, Jesus and family spoke volumes. She was a praying woman and I know I was on her list as well as my family. When my mom, Julia Lozano went to be with Jesus, Mamo was there and she became my Mother figure. Thank you Mamo for your great example of Christian leadership.

Sorry for your loss. I regret that I did not get to know my Aunt Lupe as well as I should have. My mom Emma always talked fondly of her. Now they are together again.

My most sincere condolences on Tia Lupe's passing. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart and can see by her angelic smile the love she had for the Lord and her family. I heard the news while at my dad Raul's grave since the 8-5-09 was the day Dad passed so I know my Dad and her now celebrate and rejoice together along with the rest of the family in heaven. Love to all and may the Grace of God heal your heart's in your grieving. Love Lisa and Andy Vega.
