Oletha Fels Cumberland, age 90, a resident of Kingsville, Texas, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 in Corpus Christi. She was born January 25, 1923 in Kingsville to Ed F. Fels and Mary Gerdes Fels. Mrs. Cumberland, a homemaker, was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a charter member of Kingsville Womens Club. Mrs. Cumberland was also a former member of Christus Spohn Hospital Auxiliary.
Oletha was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Miles Cumberland parents and daughter, Kathleen Oletha Ply Cash.
She is survived by one son, John Albert Cumberland Debbie of Kingsville one daughter, Karen Denise Cumberland Harris John of Robstown, Texas sister, Ellinor Menn, formerly of Kingsville 10 grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 401 West King Street, Kingsville, with Rev. Melvin Antonio officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
